Solid Bread Community

Solid Bread Community began as an ordinary Sunday School I started teaching roughly 17 years ago (2008); about 10-12 folks is what I began with. The focus was sound, literal, expository teaching with an added emphasis on teaching Bible Prophecy since so little of that was being done. I taught verse-by-verse through Proverbs up to Ch. 18, then I did a year and a half series on ‘A Biblical View of the End Times,’ then verse-by-verse through Jude, and then verse-by-verse through Daniel. That last one took over 180 lessons. By this point, the ‘class’ had outgrown the small Gym we were in and folks were attending from other churches regularly. We had about 70-80 people. Quite a few folks that left the church we were part of were still attending my class. It was awkward, and we needed to find a new venue. We moved to the much larger Gym at Ridgeview Classical Schools where we now are about three years (+) ago. We rent this space. Now, folks attend from a wide radius – up to 45 miles, and we continue to grow. We average 90-100 people. At this point, we call ourselves a ‘community of believers,’ and folks are getting saved, various Home Study Groups have emerged out of our primary attendance, we support missionaries, we have produced several Bible prophecy conferences, and we are striving to function as NT church (for example, I am getting ready to teach a two-week series on ‘The Lord’s Supper’ since I am concerned that so few churches really approach that sacrament with proper understanding of all the theology behind it. I’ve taught a much more expanded second series on ‘A Biblical View of the End Times,’ as well as another go-round on Jude. I will be teaching an in-depth series on Jonah starting – probably – in early July. Prophecy Watcher Magazine (and all the folks there: Stearman, Ulrich, Gonzales, etc.) are very familiar with me as I have probably written over 60 articles for their magazine at this point.
